Notes from The Budget

Yesterday our menfolks were over in Macomb to help move the 24 feet by 40 building for my mothers house. The front end was put on skids and pulled by a dozer. The back end was lifted and carried by 100 men and boys going a distant of ½ mile. My brother and family came along back with the load and spend the weekend at our house.

Our neighbor age 77 was busy working on their new home when his active life suddenly slowed down. He was working in a trench when it collapsed on his legs breaking both.

Seems like we have been having some unusual weather all along and its no wonder if people go tampering with the Lords work. Have heard said that lately a rocket was shot up and hit the moon. Lots of money foolishly used up.

Sunday night Marcus had a let down when his horse keeled over with a heart attack. Thankfully it landed in the ditch.

A 27 year old boy was killed while working along the road. He was deaf and I suppose that was part of the cause of him getting in the truck’s way.
