More Budget wisdom

Recently the youth boys from around here gathered at the Millers for an afternoon of volleyball, thus working up an appetite. The Millers weren’t home, but no problem, the boys still served up supper, opening 13 quarts of an assortment of foods, everything from leftover soup to sandwiches and beans.

By the time everything was said and done the police got 9 people out of the trailer. One man with a gun got away. The whole outfit is a real nest.

Thursday evening Ray and his son were doing target practice for deer season. The boy shot the muzzle loader, then it was Ray’s turn. What a calamity as the gun busted in pieces blowing powder in Ray’s face.


92 year old Alva was the driver for the 2 hour trip across the mountains on route 10, and he did fine, for which we praise the Lord.

It was exciting to watch the tree fall, but it will be better to watch its first pieces burn and make our house cozy.


I noticed that whenever Ohio people went camping or got together for an evening they would play the corn hole game and I wondered what that was.

Grandpa isn’t doing so well since thanksgiving. He mostly has his mouth wide open and sleeps a lot. We have to thicken his water and give it with a spoon.
