Honestly, just saying this aloud has to pique your interest. But if you say it with a French accent, then it becomes very humorous. Alas the situation was in fact very unfortunate and an example of discriminatory idiocy, but you have to wonder how such a sentence could spring to anyone’s mind.

A limbless woman was refused permission to travel alone by Air France, one of whose employees said: "A torso cannot possibly fly on its own"
