My right foot has swollen up and won't go back to normal, even after a long night's rest. Last night my face and right hand also started to swell, just a tiny tiny bit. We called labor and delivery at 4am, wondering if I should come in and have my blood pressure checked. Since I have no headache or blurred vision and the swelling is minor, they said no. Which is reassuring to hear (pre-eclampsia BAD)...except that my foot and now both hands are STILL swollen this morning. Uncomfortable. Worrisome. I'm going to spend the day lying down and drinking tons of water (which, paradoxically, can help reduce the water retention). Anybody who believes in praying or sending good thoughts, please do. I want to carry this little boy to term.
