Childhood memory

For reasons unknown to me I recently remembered the sentance "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs." Odd how something so small is still with me years later.

We had to type it over and over in 8th grade typing class. I HATED it that girls had to take typing and Home Ec while boys got to take Architectural Drawing and Shop.
I am still pissed.

This is a pangram, of course, containing each letter in the English language. I went to Wikipedia and found some pangrams in other languages, used for the same purpose: learning to type and testing keyboards. Hilarious! Here are ranslations of a few:

Russian: "Eat more of these soft French loaves and drink tea."

Slovak: "A flock of happy woodpeckers by the mouth of the river Vah is teaching a silent horse to nibble on bark and feed on fresh meat."

French: "Ambiguous voice of a heart which prefers dishes of kiwis in the breeze"

Bulgarian: "For a moment I was in someone else's plush squeaking armchair."

Korean: "The essential condition for kiss is that lips meet and there is no special technique required."
