Oh, the Goats

Do the family veggiess eat butter?
Ever since a certain fabulous restaurant I have populated our house with butter of the goats, and since I am enjoying it right at this very minute (on a rye bread sandwich), I sit here and I wonder if the rest of the clan has as much oral delight as me. I'd like to be acquainted to some GOOD goat cheeses, MoM. Can you deliver?

Woe to those who dismiss this wonder of the palate. Old Man...are you listening?

Oh, yum, that goat butter was delicious, indeed! If I had it on hand, I do think I'd have to snack on it from time to time, pseudo-vegan I! What brand did you manage to lay hands on, anyway?
Okay. Here goes.

*Cypress Grover Creamery:
*mad river roll-heavenly
*humbolt fog-very good with good honey and crusty bread
*Bermuda triangle-another lovely cheese
*wabash cannonball-I've only had it once, but it's a cute, unimposing easily approachable cheese.

Capriole:
*Mont St.Francis-a stinky cheese that smells a bit like the Bears locker room when it's perfectly ripe.
*Capriole Sofia (even with the crappy name, excellent cheese)
*Old Kentucky Tomme

French:
*St. Maure- absolutely delicious. It had a straw through the length that must be pulled out (I find tweezers work very well)

Spanish:
*Mogent (aka Garroxta)- a delicious semi hard cheese with parmeseanesque qualities.

Italian:
*Robiola Langhe- I'm cheating because this is a cheese with cow, sheep and goat milk in it. It' one of the creamiest cheese in the galaxy and I love it. The outer rind get more firm a few days after you cut into it, but the cheese stays gooey.

On this list I have put quite a few of my favorites: The mad river roll and the robiola langhe. Buy them. Eat them.
