Well, Ma was dropped off at out apartment in the early afternoon, and we relaxed together for a while. Around 4:20, A.S., who will soon begin a 2 year position professing Classics at Big Green arrived, and U. prepared a sumptuous feast of roast chicken, couscous, and a salad. We ate and talked about the Upper Valley, University life, and many things. Later on, there berries were consumed, and we discussed opera. At one point, I suffered a complete structural failure of my fly, which fortunately A.S. did not seem to notice. A.S., being a morning person, left soon before sunset. Ma stayed, and we had a generally great time. At the end of the evening, Sis, in hero mode, came by to drive Ma to the hotel even though Sis had already worked an unexpectedly hard shift. She did this because she is the best. In return for her kindness, I have her a soda and agreed not to show her what lies beneath my underwear.
I would like to add that since MoM had never been to the part of IL that blogmother was in she needed complete directions. Unfortunately #1 did not do this. He gave directions to the highway, but nothing further. I got myself lost and confused. I was stuck downtown for a while trying to get to LSD and couldn't do it. Instead I drove back to the highway and home. #1 son, I am giving you official notice that you are BAD! First you try to expose yourself to a guest, and then getting MoM lost. Bad boy! No bacon! I am now home, tired and a bit smelly. The knowledge that I will have pancakes tomorrow will help me sleep well.

I would like to state for the record that #1 was right. I am the best. I seriously rock.

MoM IS the BEST.
She allowed me to use her as a prop for the MS-er who happened to be in the lobby when I arrived at that part of IL to which one need never return. Ever.
Yesterday's feasting and conversing was the best possible way to spend a Sunday; and the grandbird was a total gentleman, not merely the entertainment.
#1 freely shared the complete structural failure of his fly with his other two main women, so MoM was spared. (and I point out my accumulating chits)
Sleeping has been difficult here, and in the past 3 nights I have an aggregate of about 18 hours of twinkle-time. NOT ENOUGH!
I am looking forward to breakfast, including coffee, and oh, did I mention, I want coffee.
MoM - Pick me up - let's play!
