Can't sleep

For 13 years (or 11 days) I've been working my tussock off. I finally have a day off, and I can't sleep. All week long all I wanted was to sleep in. Just to get more than 5 hours worth. Now that I have the opportunity, I just can't sleep. I've been up since 20 hours ago. Sappy cat and I have watched every infomercial known to man. Most of the infomercials nowadays are about rubbing homes, or the stock market. We've also watched the Incredibles and Carrie. Savvy cat keeps trying to entice me to nap. Sleepy mews whenever I get up to get a beverage, taco or yogurt. She just doesn't understand that mummies insane and will never sleep again.

Today is bike the drive here in Chicago. It's when they shut down lake shore drive for 5 hours or so, and only allow bikes on. Since I have the day off I'd thought about doing it this year. First off, they're charging $40 to participate. That's not the only reason I didn't do it though. The bike the drive was to start at 5am. So I thought to myself on your day off do you really want to be exercising at the crack of dawn and paying for it? The answer was hell no. Now that it's 543 am I almost wish I'd done it. At least I'd be....wait a minute, no I don't wish I'd done it. I'll catch the highlights on the news tonight.

I think that I've blabbed on as much as I can. It's time for nyquil. I know that I shouldn't use nyquil since I'm not sick, but honestly I don't know what else to do.

*since it's so late/early I did a spell check. Anytime it didn't recognize a word I replaced it with one of the suggestions. Fun times. Good times. I really need a nap.

I realize it's an artifact of spell-check, but after this post I'm left still trying to figure out what the heck "rubbing homes" accomplishes. Does it make them purr? Glow? Get static cling?

:)
You don't know what "rubbing homes" is? It makes them sparkle!

Maybe it makes the pain go away.
